Fátima tour is a private sightseeing tour that combines religion and history. In addition to visiting Fátima Sanctuary and the Monastery of Batalha it includes a visit to the medieval village of Óbidos.

At the beginning of the day your local guide / driver (English speaking) will pick you up at your hotel in Lisbon and will take you to a full day private tour of Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré and Óbidos.

Discover this wonderful religious and historical area by visiting the impressive Fátima Sanctuary. The Fátima Sanctuary is considered one of the most important Catholic places in the world and it was here that the Virgin Mary appeared to the little shepherds. The Sanctuary hosts the 4th biggest Catholic church in the world. Take your time visiting to the Sanctuary and assist mass if you would like to. Before leaving Fátima you still have time to visit the three little shepherds’ house.

Continue your tour with a visit to the Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO Heritage site. The monastery is of the late gothic Portuguese style, where you can find a mix of the gothic style with the Manuelino style – symbol of the Portuguese maritime expansion.

Before heading to the medieval village of Óbidos, enjoy the breathing views of Nazaré, a fishing village where you can find tasting grilled fish. Before leaving you at your hotel at the end of your tour, you still have time for a walk in the medieval village of Óbidos. Óbidos is a magnificent village with white houses surrounded by very well preserved walls. A walk through Óbidos is a travel through time where you can glimpse the medieval times in Portugal. Don’t forget to enjoy the sweetness of Óbidos local liqueur, the famous Ginginha!

No meals or entrance fees are included. In the middle of the day tour we stop in a typical Portuguese restaurant where you can taste the best of the Portuguese gastronomy.

The Fátima daytrip sightseeing private tour can be tailored to suit your interests.

If religion and history are your passions, this Fátima tour is for you!
