Cork & Wine tour is a private sightseeing tour that combines local traditions, wine, and gastronomy. It includes a visit to a cork factory, a wine tasting and to the Monsaraz historical village.
At the beginning of the day your local guide / driver (English speaking) will pick you up at your hotel in Lisbon and will take you to a full day private tour in the surroundings of Monsaraz village in the prestigious wine and cork region of Alentejo.
Discover this wonderful region by visiting a familiar cork factory where you can understand how cork is treated and processed to produce the different cork products that exists nowadays, including cork ties, cork dresses, cork umbrellas, in addition to the traditional cork stoppers among other innovative products. In fact Portugal is world leader in the production and transformation of cork!
Then your local guide / driver will take you to a local wine producer where you will learn about the wine making process and taste their prestigious wines. After this fun and instructive wine tasting take some time to relax while eating the delicious picnic we have prepared with regional products. The view to the vineyard will complete this relaxing moment.
Before leaving you at your hotel at the end of your tour, you still have time for a walk in the medieval village of Monsaraz. Monsaraz is a village surrounded by walls and a stunning view to the Alqueva lake. Delight yourself with the typical rooftop architecture of the medieval town of Monsaraz and its well preserved castle. This is one of those off the beaten path places that you would not like to miss!
No entrance fees are included. Picnic lunch with regional products is included in the vineyard allowing you to experience the best of the Portuguese gastronomy. Wine tasting is included.

Tickets Fees
Entry fees vary by season and age, but average a total of €20 per person for all the sights we visit.
Children under 6 years are not required to pay entry fees.

90% downhill and stairs with upstairs and inclines. 10% in vehicle. No elevators available. Some cobblestones and unpaved paths on tour route. Must be able to walk for 1-hour without resting.
