Arrábida tour is a private sightseeing tour that combines history, natural beauty and wine. In addition to Moscatel wine tasting, visit a gorgeous beach in the area and a fishing village.

At the beginning of the day your local guide / driver (English speaking) will pick you up at your hotel in Lisbon and will take you to a full day private tour of the Livramento Market in Setúbal, the Setúbal wine region, Arrábida Mountain and Sesimbra seaside village.

Discover the fishing village of Setúbal by visiting its local market (closed on Sundays and Mondays) considered one of the best fish markets in the world. In addition to a great variety of fresh fish, meat and vegetables the Livramento Market, opened in 1930, has a world famous tiles panel representing scenes of the local daily life in the 30 and 40 decades.

Continue your tour along the Portuguese countryside reaching Azeitão where the art of winemaking awaits for you. Taste the famous Moscatel wine in the wine cellars of José Maria da Fonseca and learn more about this unique wine. After the visit to the cellar and the wine tasking your local guide will take you to the Portinho da Arrábida beach, a fine white sand beach with crystal clear water. The beach is surrounded in one side by the Arrábida mountain making it a place of rare beauty. Bring your swimsuit and enjoy the cold waters of Arrábida if you are courageous enough!

Before visiting the medieval castle of Sesimbra enjoy some fresh fish at this seaside village. Also enjoy the outstanding views of the Tróia Peninsula, a beach resort. Before leaving you at your hotel at the end of your tour, you still have time for a walk in the Cape Espichel, home to the Sanctuary with the same name. At the Espichel Cape you can admire impressive cliffs, the Atlantic Ocean and the first lighthouse in Portugal!

No meals or entrance fees are included. In the middle of the day tour we stop in a typical Portuguese restaurant where you can taste the best of the Portuguese gastronomy.

The Arrábida daytrip sightseeing private tour can be tailored to suit your interests.

If history, natural beauty and wine is your passion, this Arrábida tour is for you!
